文意選填
觀念
文意選填是學測的固定題型:一篇文章挖掉幾個字,從字框裡選最適合的字填回去,字框裡的字比空格多,有幾個用不到。它考的是詞性判斷 + 文意。
解題三步:
- 先分詞性:把字框裡的字分成名詞、動詞、形容詞、副詞。動詞再看是原形、過去式、-ing 還是第三人稱單數。例如字框有 reduce、protected、rapidly、ancient、journey。
- 看空格的位置決定詞性:
- 冠詞或形容詞後面 → 名詞(a long ___ → journey)
- 主詞後面、受詞前面 → 動詞,而且時態要對(Scientists have ___ → protected)
- be 動詞後、名詞前 → 形容詞(the ___ city → ancient)
- 修飾動詞或整句 → 副詞(grew ___ → rapidly)
- 再用文意挑:同一詞性有兩三個候選時,把字代進句子,看前後文意與搭配詞(reduce the risk、make a decision)。
技巧:先填有把握的,剩下的候選變少就容易;填完整段重念,確認每個字只用一次。字框裡的字要照原本寫法填,不能自己改字形。

第一空填入 structure（結構物/建築物），用以代指大橋這座美麗的「建築物」；第二空填入 complete（完成），指克服強風與深水以「完成」這項工程；第三空填入 paint（油漆），指漆上橘紅色的「油漆」以保護鋼材不受海水侵蝕；第四空填入 amazing（驚人的/令人讚嘆的，由 amaze 衍生），形容大橋「迷人的」景致；第五空填入 enjoy（享受），指旅客都很「享受」跨越這座橋的體驗。干擾詞 history（歷史）、manage（管理）與 simple（簡單的）均不符合上下文意。
